Rasputin Music is a chain of new and used CD, DVD, LP and video stores. They have a cult-like fan base, and sell many rare albums and videos. The store was founded in 1971 in Berkeley, California. There are currently seven locations around the Bay Area: Berkeley, Campbell, Newark, Pleasant Hill, San Francisco, San Lorenzo, and Vallejo. Rasputin's acquired the leases of 4 former Tower Records locations. One in the East Bay city of Concord, where the Pleasant Hill store will be relocated, and three in the Central Valley cities of Stockton, Fresno, and Mountain View. These stores are scheduled to open in 2007.
