Nosa Afolabi (born April 20,1991), better known as Lasisi Elenu, is a Nigerian comedian, actor, compere and musician[1]. He is popular for his skits with a disguise filter during performances and on social media especially Instagram where he has 3.4 million followers on Instagram[2] making him one of Africa's most popular influencers. Elenu recently featured in Netflix thriller, The Ghost and The Tout[3].

Early background and Education

Elenu, born Nosa Afolabi in Kano, northern Nigeria, hails from Offa in Kwara State. He is a graduate of Health Promotion and Environmental Health Education from the University of Ilorin.[4]

Career

The comedian whose skits focus on varying themes from law to cybercrime, the economy and philosophy, started out as a musician[5] before diverting to the business of comedy. His most recent project, Mama & Papa Godspower, is a series of 16-minute episodes focusing on a low-income household in Nigeria[6].

Controversy struck in July 2020 when he was warned by members of the Nigerian Bar Association, who claimed his jokes were misrepresenting the legal profession[7][8] and threatened to sue him.
