Jill Hicks-Keeton is Assistant Professor of Religious Studies at the University of Oklahoma. She teaches courses on biblical literature, ancient Judaism, and early Christianity. She attended Duke University where she received her Master of Theological Studies in 2007 and received her PhD in 2014. Hick-Keeton has written a number of academic articles. She co-edited The Ways That Often Parted (SBL Press 2018).  She has also written for online journals Religion and Politics, Ancient Jew Review, and others.  She is the author of the book Arguing with Aseneth: Gentile Access to Israel’s Living God in Antiquity. The book was awarded the 2020 Lautenschlaeger Award for Theological Promise, an international first book award. Hick-Keeton has been honored with several awards and fellowships. Presently, she has been awarded the Presidential Teaching Fellowship, Honors College, University of Oklahoma, 2020-2022.
