For The Fun Of The Game is a 2018 documentary film about the St. Paul Saints, an American professional baseball team based in Saint Paul, Minnesota. The film features actor and team co-owner Bill Murray, his brother Brian Doyle-Murray, Mike Veeck, Marv Goldklang, and General Manager Derek Sharrer[1][2].

The film contains many additional interviews with Tom Whaley, Annie Huidekoper, Chris Schwab, Sean Aronson, Sierra Bailey, Anthony LaPanta, Dave Wright, Neal Karlen, Stew Thornley, Jay Crawford, Patrick Reusse, Joe Schmit, Kevin Millar, Leon Durham, Brandon Kintzler, George Tsamis, Mark Hamburger, and Tony Thomas.[1]

An original song was created for the film titled House Of Fun. It was written and performed by Nicholas David and Andrew Crowley.[1]

Plot

The film follows the Saint's organization from its formation in 1992, playing their first game in 1993, and documents the following 25 years. The film shows the team overcome diversity and become "one of the most successful minor league baseball teams of all time."[3]
