Rational Response Squad

The Rational Response Squad or RRS is a group of Atheists, lead by Brian Sapient, who have taken on the mission of irreverently confronting "irrationalism" in all its disguises; although its biggest target seems to be Christianity. The RRS along with Brian Fleming made headlines in December 2006/January 2007 with their Blasphemy Challenge.

While the Rational Response Squad does represent the religion of Atheism well, it does not represent reason and rationalism very well. The RRS is very closed minded and not open to change. Most of the dialogue you may have with the core members of the RRS or its message board moderators tends to be very authoritarian in nature. The RRS does not take criticism well and many of its responders become arrogant and combatative. Dialogue with the RRS is not for the faint of heart.

Ironically, the Rational Response Squad practices the very kind of irrationalism it is trying to eradicate.
