Paramite
Paramites are fictional creatures of the Oddworld universe. They made their first appearance in Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee.
Physical appearance and behaviour
They are less than half the height of Mudokons and they have a face that resembles a human hand. Their name comes from a creature referred to as a parasite, but with altered spelling. They scuttle on four legs and, like spiders, they have the ability to spin webs. They hunt in packs, so a Mudokon is safe from a lone Paramite unless the Paramite is backed up against a wall, at which point, the Paramite will hiss threateningly. If the mudokon does not heed the Paramite's threat, it will attack the Mudokon. Paramites have also been known to lead Mudokons near other Paramites, at which point, they attack the Mudokon. It is possible to throw a chunk of meat to lure a paramite to a certain place, while you move where you want to.
Habitats
They inhabit Paramonia in Abe's Oddysee, and in Abe's Exoddus, they infest the Mudomo Vaults. Also, in Munch's Oddysee, they infest the level "Paramite Run".
