Include a section on developmental delay, in addition to the section on precocious development. As part of this section, include methods in which developmental milestones are assessed in a variety of settings. I like the table the developmental milestones table which provides example milestones in each category. As part of this section, could discuss how these developmental milestones were established and criticisms of screeners for these milestones. You could also provide a section on devices/programs/treatments to spur childhood development and/or treat developmental delay (one public program includes First5, a public program in California focused on early childhood development).
