The Battle of Mier was an 1842 military engagement fought in Ciudad Mier, Mexico between elements of the Texas Mier Expedition and Mexican Army troops. It ended in a costly victory for Mexican forces who suffered around 800 casualties and also led to the infamous Black Bean Episode of 1843.[1]
