Candidatus psychologiae (male), or candidata psychologiae (female), abbreviated as cand.psychol., is a higher-level professional degree currently awarded in Norway in the field of clinical psychology. The cand.psychol. degree is awarded by the University of Oslo, the University of Bergen, the University of Tromsø, and the Norwegian University of Science and Technology in Trondheim. The degree requires at least 6 years to complete.[1]

Although completion of the degree qualifies the holder to apply for a license as a clinical psychologist, it does not in itself authorize the holder to practice psychology.
