Template:Infobox Province Peru The Corongo Province is one of 20 provinces of the Ancash Region of Peru.

The city of Corongo is the capital of the province of the same name, is located in the north of the Department of Ancash, to 3,141 m.s

Their geographical coordinateses are 77º54'37 "west longitude and 8º30'34" South latitude.

The city of Corongo is located in a calm valley by where the river of the same name runs, it has 7 districts: Corongo, Aco, Bambas, Cuzca, the Pampas, Yanac and Yupán, and limits with the following provinces: by the north and the west with the one of Pallasca, by the east with the one of Sihuas and by the south with those of Huaylas and Santa. The province of Corongo has approximately 11,090 inhabitants, (source: Provincial municipality Corongo) distributed in the urban zone and mainly in the countryside. The district of Corongo has approximately 2,515 inhabitants (census of 1993 INEI). Corongo has a great variety of places to visistar, specially lagoons located by the high parts of the province, is reccorrido in which approximately 15 beautiful lagoons are observed, also are the thermal baths of Aticara and Pacatqui.
