Hava Inbar (Hebrew: חוה ענבר) was a Major of the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) who served as the first female military judge in the world.

Biography

At age 16 Inbar was interested in a career with the diplomatic corps but decided to instead pursue a career in law.[1]

A female military judge with the rank of Major who did not have trouble getting either religious soldiers or Druze to appear in court despite feared cultural reservations about her appointment.[1]
