Husnes is the largest village in Kvinnherad, Norway, with 2212 inhabitants as of 2006, and about 8000 in the local region. The village is centered around Sør-Norge Aluminium (SØRAL), and has become the center of commerce and education in Kvinnherad. A new underwater tunnel to Halsnøy, opens March 2008. New shopping centers are under construction, and when completed, Husnes will be "reborn" as a beautiful village with new parks etc.
Norwegian Pop Idol judge Asbjørn Slettemark is a native of Husnes.
