Instrumented GIMP (ingimp) is a special edition of the GIMP application (not a plug-in) which reports real-time usage data to the project's servers for the purpose of improving GIMP usability.

ingimp was started as part of the research efforts of the Human-Computer Interaction team of University of Waterloo focusing on sustainable open usability. The first release was made on 5 May 2007.

The statistics collected by ingimp are publicly available freely of charge on the project's website, properly anonymised.
