John Read Middle School is a public middle school with grades 5-8 in Redding, Fairfield County, Connecticut. The principal is Mrs. Diane Martin. The vice principal is Darlene Wallin.

One of the students recently won the NFL's Punt, Pass, and Kick challenge in Giants stadium for her age range. (2008)

The FPA's (Fine and Practical Arts) include CPR, MCA (Cultural Art) Music, Project Adventure, and others. The school also has a project called Project Dream in which volunteers spend their time giving food to other towns near Redding.
