About Khojaly Genocide

Khojaly is medium-size city in Nagorno-Karabakh Autonomous Oblast[1] where during few hours of night from 25 to 26 February 613 civilians[2] were killed[3][4] including 106 women[5] and 85 small children under 8 years.[6] 56 people were killed with outrageous brutality, 8 families were totally exterminated, 25 children lost both parents while 130 children lost at least one parent in a genocide which has become the most brutal punishment of civilians during the conflict’s military phase.[7] They were either shot dead by Armenian soldiers or froze to death as they tried to flee Khojaly.[8] More than 1000 people became disabled, 1275 people were taken as hostage, no information about more than 150 people since then.[9]
