Martin Smith is an Emmy-award winning filmmaker, producer and business owner.[2] As the founder and CEO of Rain Media, Martin Smith has directed dozens of nationally broadcast documentaries for PBS's Frontline. His films range in topic, covering for instance both Hurricane Katrina and the War on Terror.[3]

He studied comparative literature at Brown University and received a BFA in 1975 from the The Institute of Film & Television at the Tisch School of the Arts of New York University.[1]

He lives in New York City.
