The National Public Health Emergency Team (NPHET) is a group within Ireland's Department of Health.[citation needed]

It is in the power of the Minister for Health to create such a group as the need arises, i.e. during a public health emergency.[1]

2019

The government website contains minutes from NPHET meetings in 2019. That NPHET dealt with CPE.[2]

2020

According to The Irish Times, a NPHET to deal with the emerging SARS-CoV-2 was created on 27 January 2020.[3]
