The Satya Narayan Anglo Sanskrit (SNAS) Higher Secondary School, Mandi Gobindgarh is also commonly known as ARYA school.
The School building stands right opposite to Modi Mills. The school was started as a private funded school and was headed by a Board of Trustees. The first Principal was Mr. Kalra, who left in 1961-1962.
The second principal, Mr. Vidya Prakash Sidhar, an M.A. (English) and M.A. (History) from Punjab University (erstwhile Lahore University) took over and expanded the structure further to its current state.
The shape of the building represents the letter 'E' representing England.
Mr. Vidya Prakash Sidhar also played a major consulting role in the establishment of the first Women's College in Mandi Gobindgarh, Jawahar Lal Nehru Memorial (J.L.N.M) College For Women in the year 1968.
