Abolghasem Razi al-Din Ali Ibn Musa Ibn Tawos known as Seyed Ali Ibn Tawos and Syed , son of Sa'd al-Din Abu Ibrahim was born in Hilla. His purity and piety and virtue is well-known among the Shiites. Shiites believe he he met Hojjat ibn al-Hassan, the twelfth Imam of the Shiites in Minor Occultation. "Sayyed ibn Tawos" died in 664 AD.[1]
Books
Ibn Tawus has more than fifty books, most of which are about supplication and pilgrimages. He had a rich library with approximately 1500 books, which he used for his authoring.
Printed works
- Al-Muhimmat wa al-tatimmat in 10 volumes, and each volume has been published by an independent subject; such as, Falah al-sa'il, Zuhrat al-rabi' , Jamal al-usbu', Iqbal al-a'mal. Ibn Tawus has written this book as a complimentary to Misbah al-mutahajjid wriiten by al-Shaykh al-Tusi.
