Is there a reason this is here, and if so that Impact on $OTHER_COUNTRY isn't?

Impact on India

Impact on India is the same as on the rest of the world that does not follow Daylight savings time.

U.S. bias

This article has U.S. bias. Quote from EST:

EST may stand for:

Please add the information about the two other time zones. I just don't have the time atm, might do it later. —kooo 13:17, Jan 21, 2005 (UTC)

The great thing about Wikipedia is that anyone may edit it. It may be that only North Americans have edited this article (The eastern time zone extends into Canada also). Please feel free to add this other information.

I've moved the page to North American Eastern Standard Time Zone. This should solve the problem. Jimp 15Jun05

The article still has a U.S. bias. It does not elaborate on which parts of Ontario and Quebec that Eastern Time is used in, and how DST is used in the Canadian regions. It also implies that the Canadian regions are not part of the time zone, but merely follows the same time. I myself am not certain about the information that is missing, and would appreciate it if someone will fix the article. Noting that other users have noticed a U.S. bias I will place a tag on the talk page.

In Ontario and Quebec it's not known as EST directly, but as HNE - Heure Normale de l'Est. During observance of daylight saving, HAE - Heure Avancée de l'Est. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 4.235.159.104 (talkcontribs)
Not true for Ontario anglophones! They just call it Eastern Time Zone (or EST). QuartierLatin1968 El bien mas preciado es la libertad 17:27, 11 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Agreed. Anglo Ontarians (myself included) do not use French terms. — Nathan (talk) / 23:10, 11 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Double redirects

I corrected several double redirects to this article (perhaps the page had been moved and nobody changed them). Afonso Silva 22:31, 20 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Illustrate this article with picture of Metronome sculpture?

Please see Talk:International Atomic Time#Union Square NYC. --Mathew5000 22:35, 27 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Much as I love the picture, it is placed rather poorly. May I suggest someone moving it?--Izno 09:34, 30 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Redirect?

Is there a reason why Eastern Time Zone redirects to Eastern Time Zone (North America)? If no other article is using Eastern Time Zone by itself, why not kill the parenthetical? Leave the disambiguation links at the top, of course... 138.69.160.1 13:52, 3 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

DC

Why is the District of Columbia left out of the list of areas in the US that are in the time zone?

NJ major cities

There are no New Jersey cities in the major met areas. At least include Newark and Trenton, moreover Jersey City, Princeton, and Camden. Diet 14:58, 21 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
