Hello, first i have to appologize, that i deleted part of the article without improving it. Its because my english is too bad, but the facts in article were definitely wrong. Novel is not divided into two parts, the story is happend in one time period, its story of Pandion and his fellows managing journey from slavery in Egypt to freedom, through African continent. There is a note about expedition to the south, when another slave gave gemstone to Pandion, but its only a short story which unveiled history of the stone..

And also i improve dating of the story, because there is sentence which said that Akhenaten lived 400 years before.--Alois Musil (talk) 18:13, 24 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

There is a lot of confusion here. Basically, the first part was sometimes published separately under various names, as was the second. But both parts were written at the same time (1946) and form one book, with events from the first (the gemstone) impacting the second. It is not a short story by a long shot (pun intended) since both parts are of similar volume.

Yes, the English translation linked lists only the second part, but that's not the only edition format.

Also, I'm quite curious where you got the name of the current pharaoh from. I've read this book something like 100 times (literally) and I can't find anywhere in the text. -- Grafikm ^(AutoGRAF) 13:54, 19 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
