This is template and closely related articles are grossly misnamed. The generations are not "mobile phone" generations, but "wireless network" or "wireless access" technologies. The telephones that use them are hardly any different in principle, and many devices that use them are not telephones. kbrose (talk) 12:32, 21 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
