The New York Helmsley Hotel, is a modern, business-oriented hotel in New York City, New York. It is approximately two blocks west of the United Nations and approximately one-and-one-half blocks east of Grand Central Terminal.

The hotel is part of The Helmsley Collection [1]. In addition to The New York Helmsley, current properties in the Collection include The Helmsley Park Lane Hotel, The Helmsley Carlton House, The Helmsley Middletowne Hotel — all in New York City — and The Helmsley Sand Castle Hotel — a resort facility in Sarasota, Florida.

History

The hotel was founded in 1981[citation needed] by Leona Helmsley, the "self-styled hotel queen".[2] [3]

Since December 2006[citation needed], Mark A. Briskin has been the General Manager of hotel.
