Uruana has a tropical semi moist, and dry and warm in winter (cold night and warm days) and hot and humid in summer. Average minimum temperature 20.9 ° C (winter) and maximum average of 28.4 ° C (spring). In summer the average temperature is 25 ° C. In winter, the minimum can reach the 10 ° C and the maximum could be between 27 ° C and 35 ° C. Normally, winter is common to have large temperature ranges. (Temperatures of a typical day of winter: min. 11 C/máx.31 ° C). There are exceptional cases where the requirements may be less than 10 ° C can reach 7 ° C in rural areas due to the presence of high humidity. The reason is that the environmental conditions of the cerrado in the winter makes this, apparently has a desert climate: dry and hot during the day (26 ° C-35 ° C with relative humidity between 10% and 20%) and cold during the night (9 ° C-14 ° C, but with humidity between 40% and 60%). There are times in winter when the heat is intense in the afternoon. These periods can be extremely high temperature ranges, or a night can do 11 ° C and in the afternoon to reach 37 ° C: ie, a temperature range of 26 ° C! In the autumn, and winter, there is common 15km/he winds ranging from 35 km / h, with gusts that may exceed the 45km / h, due to the variation of pressure from the high difference in temperature between day and night . The winds are starting around 09:00 am to 18:00, which provides the increase of thermal sensation during the day. For example, in a morning is 18 ° C with winds of 15km / h, the heat sensation can be 15 ° C to 16 ° C. (Temperatures of a typical day of autumn: min. C/máx.28 ° 15 ° C).

In Uruana is 1708 mm annual rainfall, which is concentrated mainly October to April. From May to September, falling only 91.2 millimeters of rain (the dry season) - but that is years from May to September are registered or 10 millimeters. It is common, from now forward, be 5 months without a drop falling, and in this period of drought (especially in September and early October), temperatures will be common to pass the 40 ° C but can reach up to 43 ° C. Over the years this event will become more frequent, if nothing is changed so that it will stabilize.

Climate

In summer, the requirements are higher, around 21 ° C and the maximum, mild (around 27 ° C) due to rain and dense bulky. (Temperatures of a typical day of summer: min. 21 C/máx.29 ° C). In so-called "veranicos, especially those that last up to 15 days, the temperature rises considerably, reaching 40 ° C. But that level phenomena do not occur with such impact as there are more "veranicos" with lower intensities. But it is in spring that are the highest recorded temperatures of the year, because the minimum may be close to 30 ° C and can spend the maximum 40 ° C. Still there is spring that may be above or below average, as occurred on September 17, 2001, day when the temperatures ranged from 12.8 ° C during the night to 27.5 ° C during the afternoon. (Temperatures of a typical day of spring: min. C/máx.36 ° 23 ° C).

The lowest maximum in 2007 occurred on May 24, day of constant winds (from 25km / h to 35 km / h) which has not passed the maximum of 21.2 ° C (the thermal sensation was 17 ° C due the winds) and the minimum reached 16.9 ° C (with thermal sensation of 14 ° C due to the winds during the night), this time due to the cloudy, with drizzle and closed from traces of a cold front that entered with force in Brazil and the temperatures dropped sharply in the South, Suldeste, center-west and north, taking into account reductions in temperature in Goiás The day after, the minimum ranged from 8.9 ° C to 11.7 ° C in the region. In mountain regions of the brands certainly were 1 ° C to 4 ° C lower than the temperatures recorded in altitude with 600m. The highest minimum recorded was 27.8 ° C in spring 2007 and the highest maximum of 41.6 ° C also in the spring of 2007. The relative humidity in winter during the day may not exceed 15%. On 18 July 2000 was recorded a minimum temperature that ranged between 6 ° and 9 ° C during the night. But the maximum remained high (between 24 ° C and 28 ° C). The lower temperature may have occurred in 1975, but no records to confirm this fact. But according to reports of records of temperature in other cities near the minimum in Uruana that time should have been between 3 ° C and 6 ° C and the maximum, between 15 ° C and 19 ° C. According to meteorogistas, this is winter with temperatures 4.6 ° C lower than those of last year in some regions of Goiás because last year there were record temperatures for heat. The rain did not come tardarão as last year, the year the drought lasted more than 6 months. The rainfall should be started with volumes slightly higher from September and not as the year that happened (last year the rains began nearly in November, which damaged the crop of the watermelon season right).

Uruana was very frosty morning in July 2008, whose requirements were around 11 ° C (with an average of 12.5 ° C) and maximum 27 ° C (with an average of 28.9 ° C).

So far the highest temperature of 2008 occurred on 28 October, the brand reached 40.2 ° C. Already the lowest occurred on July 10, the mark was 9.8 ° C. The month of October closed with rainfall rates with nearly 90 mm below average.

The trend is the period of drought increase from 5 to 7 months until the year 2020, due to the process of deforestation done by man, by desertification northern savannah, the increasing temperature, and the diversion of air masses that influence on Goiás
