The etiological theories of infantilism are diverse. Infantilists, also known as "adult babies",[1]

The etiological theories of infantilism are diverse. It has been hypothesised that infantilism represents a sex targetting imprinting error that may result where, as with other forms of masochism, the disciplinary component of mother and child interactions has been pronounced during the period of sexual target imprinting.[2]
