“Even if the open windows of science at first make us shiver, in the end, the fresh air brings vigour and the great spaces have a splendour of their own.” - Bertrand Russell

"Science is a way of thinking, much more than it is a body of facts." - Carl Sagan

"Skepticism is the first step toward truth." - Denis Diderot

“The good thing about science is that it's true whether or not you believe in it.” ― Neil deGrasse Tyson

I'm a Maryland based skeptic. No, not a global warming skeptic or a Holocaust skeptic. Those people are really just denialists. No, I'm one of those people who demands evidence before subscribing to various claims. I love to read about conspiracy theories, "alternative" medicines, and claims of UFO abductions. Just don't expect me to believe in them without substantial evidence. I absolutely love science, but I am not a scientist.
