Why the name JurassicClassic767?[edit]

So, what's with the "Jurassic Classic" in my username? Well, for starters, I actually don't consider myself as a dinosaur/paleo nerd, but yeah, even if, you'll mostly see me actively editing those kinds of articles... especially Pterosaurs! Yeah, not many people are really interested in these flying creatures, but for me, I would prefer them than even dinosaurs! Let's not leave the question about my username earlier though; when creating my username, I was initially thinking of putting "Classic of the Jurassic", but I guess "JurassicClassic" suited better. There's actually really no reason why I chose this username, I just like it, that's all. But yeah, what about the number "767", well, again, there's no specific reason for that, and honestly, I don't even know why I've put "767" in my username. You can always call me JurassicClassic though.

Projects[edit]

They're not in order of priority:

My Top lists[edit]

My favorite dinosaurs[edit]

To be honest, my favorite dinosaur is gonna be Acrocanthosaurus (meaning "high-spined lizard"). The reason why this dinosaur is my favorite is because it looks cool with its tall neural spines as well as its large size and yeah, there might be larger theropods like Giganotosaurus (my second favorite dinosaur), but Acrocanthosaurus is just different, at least for me. One more reason is because it was also one of the first dinosaurs I knew about, and so, it does have some sentimental value to me.

Acrocanthosaurus atokensis
Daspletosaurus torosus
Baryonyx walkeri

Below is a list of some of my favorite dinosaurs.

  1. Acrocanthosaurus: reason is already above
  2. Giganotosaurus: intimidating size
  3. Saurophaganax: large size, much larger than other Jurassic theropods such as Allosaurus and Torvosaurus
  4. Utahraptor: the largest "raptor" or dromaeosaurid.
  5. Lythronax: good name meaning (gore king)
  6. Tyrannosaurus: I don't know...
  7. Tyrannotitan: intimidating name, right?
  8. Allosaurus: A classic of the Jurassic, like me!
  9. Carcharodontosaurus: same reason as Giganotosaurus above
  10. Spinosaurus: so strange, isn't it?
  11. Mapusaurus: cool-looking...
  12. Tarbosaurus: I don't know...
  13. Daspletosaurus: good name meaning ("frightful lizard")
  14. Baryonyx: good name meaning (heavy claw)
  15. Gorgosaurus: good name meaning ("fierce lizard")
  16. Teratophoneus: good name meaning ("monstrous murderer")
  17. Deinonychus: good name meaning ("terrible claw")
  18. Dakotaraptor: more American "raptors", anyone?
  19. Troodon: big brain
  20. Velociraptor: cool-looking, also swift and fast
  21. Ankylosaurus: anyone else uses armor for protection?
  22. Argentinosaurus: largest dino from good material, if not then huge size anyway...
  23. Therizinosaurus: claws, anyone?
  24. Stegosaurus: looks like another classic of the Jurassic, huh?

My favorite pterosaurs[edit]

Pterosaurs are one of the creatures that I love the most, even though they're already extinct. They just fascinate me in every aspect, including their cool and bizarre looking wings, which were basically just smooth skin.

Speaking of pterosaurs, my favorite is probably gonna be Thalassodromeus (meaning "sea runner"). Now the reason why I love this pterosaur is because of its large and awesome looking crest, and yeah, there might be other pterosaurs that have bizarre and cool-looking crests like Tupandactylus, Pteranodon and Nyctosaurus, but Thalassodromeus is just different looking and very cool for me. My favorite pterosaur groups, if you're just curious, are the Azhdarchidae, the Tapejaridae (including the Thalassodrominae), the Pteranodontia, and the Anhangueridae. I don't know why but these pterosaurs are just awesome.

Thalassodromeus sethi

Below is a list of some of my favorite pterosaurs.

  1. Thalassodromeus: reason is already above
  2. Quetzalcoatlus: monster size
  3. Tupuxuara: I remember this pterosaur from a videogame, it's also very similar to my favorite pterosaur
  4. Hatzegopteryx: same reason as Quetzalcoatlus above
  5. Geosternbergia (or Pteranodon sternbergi): distinctively awesome-looking crest
  6. Pteranodon (P. longiceps): same reason as Geosternbergia above
  7. Arambourgiania: same reason as Quetzalcoatlus above
  8. Nyctosaurus: have you seen that crest?
  9. Tropeognathus: cool-looking "keeled" crests on its snout, and also the largest anhanguerid
  10. Tupandactylus: same reason as Geosternbergia above
  11. Aerotitan: good name meaning ("air titan")
  12. Tapejara: looks very cool
  13. Anhanguera: I don't know...
  14. Pterodaustro: is that baleen in its beak?
  15. Istiodactylus: I don't know...
  16. Pterodactylus: a classic pterosaur, another classic of the Jurassic, like me I guess...
