I and some off-line/on-line collaboraters are working on expanding [[Surry County, North Carolina]] as well as its history, geography, and colorful sense of place. We have successfully completed entries with identification maps for all 15 of Surry's [[townships]] and have created entries (or expanded) for each of the populated places identified by the [[USGS]] that have not been mostly annexed by municipalities (Hollyview Forest-Highland Park in [[Mount Airy, North Carolina]] and Elkin Valley and North Elkin in [[Elkin, North Carolina]]). |
