I was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico, where I've lived my entire life. I currently attend the University of New Mexico, pursuing a B.A. in journalism, and I am an active at the New Mexico Alpha chapter of the Phi Delta Theta fraternity. I also work at a local television station.

I've also contributed before to Wikipedia with a username that I, for whatever reason, can't remember. I also have contributed to a few other wikis, as well as the IMDb.

I can understand a smattering of Spanish, but my Spanish grammar is probably still horrendous - one reason this sentence is not in Spanish.

KASA Interview

I recently gave an interview on KASA-TV about Wikipedia, during my Wikipedia vacation. It aired on August 30. (One problem: I was identified as "Webmaster," which does somewhat describe my job, but definitely not my handful of Wikipedia contributions.)

UPDATE: I had a little bit of time to update several articles (i.e. NBC, Blockbuster Video, and the TV stations I started), but school is pretty killer right now. I just found out, too, that Photoshop is really good at converting EPS files to JPEG - like with the NBC Universal logo.(Sept. 16, 2005)

UPDATE 2: School is starting to lighten up, but midterms are coming up, so I'll be editing off and on for the next few weeks. (Oct. 10, 2005).

• Stubs (which I, and several others, greatly expanded) for the "big seven" Albuquerque television stations:
  • 2 KASA (and a stub article on its owner, Raycom Media)
  • 4 KOB - a little more information than the others, since KOB's history page is a little more complete than the others' are.
  • 5 KNME
  • 7 KOAT
  • 13 KRQE
  • 14 KTFQ
  • 19 KWBQ (and a stub article on its owner, ACME Communications)
  • 41 KLUZ
  • 50 KASY (also ACME Communications)
• Redirects for those stations' satellite stations and old callsigns.
• Logos for most of those stations.
• Howard Morgan, a very prominent (retired) weather forecaster in Albuquerque

And, one of my articles has already been Willy on Wheels-ed. I think that's a sign I'm doing something right, although it's also a sign that a few people want to ruin a great project.

• Find out information about KOAT weatherman Howard Morgan, who had a pretty big impact on New Mexico televsion.
• Find out when KOB-TV and KKOB Radio split.
• Find out more info on the 2000 rebranding of KRQE from Q13 to "KRQE News 13."
• Expand on histories for KRQE and KOAT.
