Halcyon: A Novel is a 2023 work of fiction written by Elliot Ackerman. Set in an alternate history of 2004 America, it is told through the point of view of Martin Neumann, a recently divorced writer, living at Halcyon, the Virginia estate of a renowned lawyer, family patriarch, and World War II hero Robert Ableson. It's 2004, and Gore is entering his second term as president, when news breaks that scientists have discovered a cure for death.[1][2][3][4][5][6]
