::I'll grant you Wikipedia is a bit different from other websites in this matter, but as flags are "emphasizing nationality for no good reason" (quoted from guideline [[MOS:FLAG]], which takes it rationale from policies [[WP:NPOV]] and [[WP:NOT]]) they are only to be used to indicate what country they fought under - not actual nationality - per that policy. Besides, Pham seems to have made it clear that he associates himself with South Vietnam more than USA, and who are we to say otherwise? I Love It When a Plan Comes Together

Squabble with User EHDI5YS

I would like to apologize to anyone whome I may have caused an inconvenience to while I had a little dispute with EHDI5YS. To make a long story short, he made claims about appropriate information which was incorrect. And when I corrected him he somehow seemed to take offense and made many disrespectful remarks on both my talk page and the UFC disscusion page, this included him creating a whole section on my page entitled "Go F*** Yourself", this section was soon deleted by other users due to the fact that it was very offensive toward many people on wikipedia. Shortly after he repeatedly disrespected myself, and then harassed user 67.163.17.113 for reasons unknown. The Bottomline is, EHDI5YS was engaging in such disrespectful and offensive actions toward myself and others in the wikipedia community and because of this he has been blocked from editing on wikipedia. He still claims that the actions bestowed upon him were an "injustice", in my opinion justice was served. 207.246.181.26 (talk) 03:44, 19 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Ultimate Fighting Championship & 3 Revert Rule

I wanted to draw your attention to wp:3rr. Technically you are in violation of the three revert rule and a request can be made for your IP address' editing privileges to be blocked. I understand your side of the issue. I recall hearing during the broadcast that Efrain considers himself Mexican, though I have not found a source to back that up.
I would suggest that you take your argument to the talk page and find a source to back up your claims of Efrain's nationality. If you continue otherwise, you may find yourself blocked from editing. Just friendly advice. --TreyGeek (talk) 23:51, 15 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

January 2009

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. In your recent edit to List of UFC Champions, you added links to an article which did not add content or meaning, or repeated the same link several times throughout the article. Please see Wikipedia's guideline on links to avoid overlinking. Thank you. 2008Olympianchitchat 02:29, 19 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

If this is a shared IP address, and you didn't make the edit, consider creating an account for yourself so you can avoid further irrelevant notices.

List of UFC champions

  • There is no need in an article titled List of UFC champions, to then have titles that read UFC Heavyweight champion, UFC lightweight champion, etc. First, it is redundant: of course they are the UFC champion, it says so right in the title. Second, and more importantly, it breaks all the incoming links to those sections. I'm talking every title event and every title holder in the history of the UFC. Why should we change all of those links that are perfectly fine just so that you can have the word UFC in them? It doesn't make any sense; all it does is create tons of work for no reason. --2008Olympianchitchat 22:48, 31 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Before you write on my talk page do your damn research. I had nothing to do with that last revision. Stop wasting your time, and mine, telling me not to do something when I clearly had nothing to do with it. 207.246.181.26 (talk) 19:41, 1 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

My apologies. I thought that changing the titles from sections to subsections would break incoming links, as in a link to "List of UFC champions#Heavyweight championship" being would need to be changed to "List of UFC champions#Current Title History/Heavyweight championship" but I was incorrect. As long as the subsection titles are still spelled the same way that they were when they were section titles, they will still function. I hereby submit to you for a thousand lashes with a wet noodle.--2008Olympianchitchat 22:20, 1 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

What you can do, and what would be greatly appreciated, is to rewrite the material using Breen's article as the source. Also as I saw you changed Pham's flag, the flags are representing sporting nationality (per requirements outlined at MOS:FLAG) so the South Vietnamese flags is correct. Cheers, --aktsu (t / c) 03:59, 23 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I'll grant you Wikipedia is a bit different from other websites in this matter, but as flags are "emphasizing nationality for no good reason" (quoted from guideline MOS:FLAG, which takes it rationale from policies WP:NPOV and WP:NOT) they are only to be used to indicate what country they fought under - not actual nationality - per that policy. Besides, Pham seems to have made it clear that he associates himself with South Vietnam more than USA, and who are we to say otherwise? Cheers, --aktsu (t / c) 20:41, 23 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
