Your account has been indefinitely blocked from editing because your account has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia. Also, your username gives the impression that the account represents a business, organisation, group, or web site, which is against the username policy.

If you intend to make useful contributions instead of promoting your business or organization, you may request unblock and a username change. In your reasons, you must:

To do this, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with your new username and replace the text "Your reason here" with your reasons to be unblocked.

Please note that the new username you choose cannot already be taken and in use by another account. You can go here to search and see if the username you'd like to choose is available. If the search returns that no global account with that username exists, that means it is available to be taken.

Appeals: If, after reviewing the guide to appealing blocks, you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal it by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your reason here" with the reasons you believe the block was an error, and publish the page. Alexf(talk) 19:23, 25 October 2023 (UTC)

Just a big time music fan trying to make edits to one of my favorite labels, not trying to do anything crazy Polyvinylrecords (talk) 19:56, 25 October 2023 (UTC)

Decline reason:

I'm in agreement with my colleagues below who confirmed my thinking; I don't think that you are likely to be unblocked unless you agree to at least for a time abandon editing about Polyvinyl Records. 331dot (talk) 08:29, 20 December 2023 (UTC)
You have absolutely no connection to them, then? Not even an informal, unpaid one? Daniel Case (talk) 06:51, 27 October 2023 (UTC)
Not at all. I genuinely had no clue that the Wikipedia AI would flag, was just hoping the username would make my edits seem more official and get approved faster but obviously my thinking was very backwards with this. I'm just an independent fan Polyvinylrecords (talk) 17:59, 30 October 2023 (UTC)
Checking in here - I'd like to change my username to umm.hehe and have my IP address/account unblocked Polyvinylrecords (talk) 19:28, 7 November 2023 (UTC)
I've renamed you. What edits do you intend to make? 331dot (talk) 10:08, 10 December 2023 (UTC)
I'd like to update the Polyvinyl discography to include their most recent releases and ultimately contribute to documenting the history of the midwest emo bands that I like. Umm.hehe (talk) 18:05, 19 December 2023 (UTC)

Alexf What would you like to see here? 331dot (talk) 20:12, 19 December 2023 (UTC)

@331dot: Not sure on this one. An account with the exact name of a company edits about the company. Blocked. Now they claim they are not related, just a bad name choice. Believable? Maybe. Then they mention they intend to continue posting about said company, but WP:PAID doesn't apply. Not sure about the validity of this one so I prefer not to make a recommendation. Your call. I abstain. -- Alexf(talk) 01:40, 20 December 2023 (UTC)
Alexf, I'm also not convinced. 331dot, I think we know what we can expect. BTW, why do we have articles like Polyvinyl Record Co. discography anyway? It's just a catalog, isn't it. Drmies (talk) 01:44, 20 December 2023 (UTC)
