You would have a case if conference regular season titles weren't awarded for the MVIAA then, but they were and they won those most of the years you listed. I checked [[Kentucky Wildcats men's basketball|Kentucky]]'s, [[Duke Blue Devils men's basketball|Duke]]'s, and [[North Carolina Tar Heels men's basketball|North Carolina]]'s pages and none of them include divisional titles.
