Private correspondence between Wikipedia users (private e-mails,[1] instant messages, private internet relay chat,[2] or any other form of private correspondence) is not to be posted on Wikipedia without the consent of the original correspondent(s).

The Arbitration Committee may permit users to submit private correspondence to it via email, where appropriate, for use as evidence in an arbitration, or other Committee action.

Users who post private correspondence on Wikipedia may be blocked from editing. Users who disclose personal information about a user (including email addresses and instant messaging nicknames) may also be blocked from editing.

Any administrator may remove private correspondence that has been posted to Wikipedia without the permission of the sender.
