Żarnowo [ʐarˈnɔvɔ] (Template:Lang-de) is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Lipiany, within Pyrzyce County, West Pomeranian Voivodeship, in north-western Poland.[1]
Before 1945 the area belonged to Germany as part of Landkreis Soldin in the Prussian Province of Brandenburg. After World War II the region was placed under Polish administration and ethnically cleansed according to the post-war Potsdam Agreement. The native German populace was expelled and replaced with Poles. For the history of the region, see Neumark.
