Želeč is a village and municipality (obec) in Prostějov District in the Olomouc Region of the Czech Republic.

The municipality covers an area of 8.09 square kilometres (3.12 sq mi), and has a population of 541 (as at 28 August 2006).

Želeč lies approximately 14 kilometres (9 mi) south of Prostějov, 30 km (19 mi) south of Olomouc, and 210 km (130 mi) south-east of Prague.
