002: He Is Not Dead, But Sleepeth is the second musical piece by experimental band Bull of Heaven. The piece was released via their website, and is still available for streaming and download today.

Album art

The artwork for piece 002 is of a man lying down in a bed, apparently sleeping (as the title of the piece would suggest). This image was also used as the cover for Austin-based Powerviolence band Hatred Surge's Isolated Human EP.[1]

Title

The title of piece 002 comes from Laus Deo by Sydney Dobell:

"He is not dead, but sleepeth, said the Priest," and smooth'd his brow.
"Sleepeth?" said she, looking up, and the sun rose in her face!
"He must be better than I thought, for the sleep is very sound."[2]
