125 Years Memory (海難1890, Kainan 1890) is a 2015 drama film directed by ja and written by ja .[1][3] A Japanese-Turkish co-production, the film was released in Japan by Toei on December 5, 2015 and in Turkey by Mars on December 25, 2015.[1][2] It received ten nominations at the 39th Japan Academy Prize, winning the awards for Best Art Direction and Best Sound Recording.

On its opening weekend in Japan, the film was fourth in both admissions, with 88,295,[4] and gross, with US$856,650.[5] On its second weekend, it dropped to seventh, again both in admissions[6] and in gross, with US$638,625.[7] On its third weekend, it was tenth placed in both admissions[8] and gross, with US$336,824.[9] The film grossed US$4.13 million in Japan and US$1.53 million in Turkey.[2]
