After a gap of three years, Dumbarton were again invited to take part in the Glasgow Charity Cup, but lost out to Celtic in the semi final.
During the season, 6 'other' matches were played, including an 8-0 thrashing of Celtic. Of these matches, 3 were won, 1 drawn and 2 lost, scoring 22 goals and conceding 14.
Note that the overall unbeaten home record extended into a second successive season. In addition, Dumbarton scored 124 goals in all matches during the season, the fifth season in a row and the seventh time in the club's history that the 'century' had been broken.
