The 1947 Cal Poly Mustangs football team represented California Polytechnic State University[note 1] during the 1947 college football season. Cal Poly competed in the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA).
The team was led by second-year head coach Howie O'Daniels and played home games at Mustang Stadium in San Luis Obispo, California. They finished the season with a record of one win and nine losses (1–9, 0–5 CCAA), ending with an eight-game losing streek. Overall, the Mustangs were outscored by an average score of 33–10, scoring only 97 points while giving up 332.
