The 1970 Sacramento State Hornets football team represented Sacramento State College[note 1] during the 1970 College Division football season.
Sacramento State competed in the Far Western Conference (FWC)[note 2]. The Hornets were led by head coach Ray Clemons in his tenth season. They played home games at Hornet Stadium in Sacramento, California. The team finished the season with a record of four wins and six losses (4–6, 2–3 FWC). Overall, the team outscored its opponents 196–169 for the season.
