Okay, you probably won't end up reading this, but I've decided to leave Wikipedia as well. Not because of the issues surrounding the coverage of pop music here, though I did kind of feel a sense of doubt when I realised that we didn't have an article on Edwin Hawkins and yet we did on Supergirl (song) :-(. On the other hand, the Mariah Carey article got promoted to featured status, which I feel shows that eventually all articles will get better, even if it takes a matter of months or years. Or maybe it's just wishful thinking on my part (equally as likely, I'd say)! Well anyway, see you around, and good luck in all your endeavours! I'll try to visit your blog from time to time. Welcome

Its good to finally have you back Chubdub 14:15, 20 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Can we say PWN3D, boys and girls?

My man Freddy, you really broke it down over at the Golden Age of Hip Hop as Told by 18 Year Olds. It's obvious that you are a TRUE hip-hop head who really knows his stuff. That article makes my head hurt, and I bet 1/2 of those cats think that rap started with the Sugar Hill Gang. Holy cow, I need a cigarette.

And PLEASE don't get me started about the obvious fishing for KEEP votes. If you're going to pull a stunt like that, that's what EMAIL is for. PennyGWoods 05:02, 30 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The golden age of hip hop for deletion?

I see that The golden age of hip hop is up for deletion. I wonder what you think of this. P.O.N.Y. 17:34, 21 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Nice tune-up. Ghosts&empties 19:07, 21 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Illmatic tracklisting

Care to explain why you deleted the links to the Illmatic songs? P.O.N.Y. 21:11, 21 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

How can you request a semi-protect on The Game article?

I have been watching The Game's article and seen too much vandalism. It's just a similar as the 50 Cent article. They used a semi-protect to this article, how could I get a semi-protection to The Game's article. Thanks for responding. LILVOKA. 26 May 2006 01:33 (UTC)

Cleanup?

May I ask why you put the cleanup tag onto the Thief and the Cobbler page? Please reply on the talk page for the film, and we'll discuss it there. Esn 06:34, 3 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

golden age hip hop

On the AFD you mentioned that people in clubs were saying the old school is included in the golden age. Two questions:

  • Clubs in which state?
  • Is there an authoritative source which uses this meaning?

I thought you made some of the best points in the AFD and just want to thank you for giving the other view there, --Urthogie 08:58, 3 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I already listen to Sly, The Meters, Average White Band, all those pre-hip hop funk guys are great. I'm yet to find the golden age being referenced to as pre 1986, though. Could you source this?--Urthogie 15:26, 4 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I've done some work and left some input here[1] in regards to your comments.

Thank you.--DCAnderson 15:01, 3 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Watchmen is now blockquote free.--DCAnderson 17:01, 3 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, done. And thanks for the input.--DCAnderson 17:51, 3 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Pirates sites and WP:EL

Good work on the above, by the way (and that reminds me that I am still hoping you and I can collaborate on War (song) at some point). The worst pirate sites probably qualify as either commercial or as having offensive amounts of advertising. Have you encountered anyone who is actually objecting to removing this stuff? Jkelly 01:41, 4 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Scooby Doo

As part of helping the article along, I am putting in into standard Television article format. I may at some point help expand the content and add references, but for now, that's my contribution :) Judgesurreal777 04:02, 4 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Instead of just posting up the "Needs Cleanup" why don't you start a discussion about what you think is wrong with certain articles, going around taking shit off pages, etc. User:PDTantisocial
