The 2006 Papua New Guinea National Soccer League season was the first edition of the Papua New Guinea National Soccer League.

Format

Five teams played in the league. For the first stage, they play each other twice. At the end of the first stage the top four teams advance to a knockout competition, the winners of which qualify for the overall final against the winners of the amateur league. The winner of this playoff qualified for the 2007–08 OFC Champions League.
