The 2015 NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour was the thirteenth season of the NASCARWhelen Southern Modified Tour (WSMT). It began with the Spring Classic 150 at Caraway Speedway on March 15[1] and ended with the Charlotte 150 at Charlotte Motor Speedway on October 8.[2]Andy Seuss, who entered the season as the defending Drivers' Champion, won the championship, three points in front of George Brunnhoelzl III. Five races during the season were televised in the United States on NBCSN by a tape-delay.[3]
^At the Bush's Beans 150 at Bristol, some WMT and WSMT drivers had to change numbers to avoid clashing with the other Modified Tour championship. The WSMT driver who had to change his number was J. R. Bertuccio, who drove car number 21, instead of his regular car number 2.
1 – The Spring Classic 150 was originally scheduled for March 14, but was postponed a day due to forecasted heavy rain.[1]
The MTP Tire 150 was originally scheduled at Hickory Motor Speedway for October 3, but was postponed a day due to forecasted heavy rain.[5] On October 3, it was announced that the race would not be rescheduled.[6]
^The Bush's Beans 150 will be held as a combined event, with competitors from the Whelen Southern Modified Tour competing along with competitors for the Whelen Modified Tour. The race was run with a series-based point distribution, where drivers received points and statistical credit for their finish relative to other drivers in their series, not to the whole field in general.
