The 2017 Big Ten Conference Men's Basketball Tournament is an upcoming postseason tournament that will be held from March 8 through March 12 at the Verizon Center in Washington, D.C.. It will be the first Big Ten Conference Tournament in Washington, D.C. The winner of the tournament will receive the Big Ten's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.

Seeds

All 14 Big Ten schools will participate in the tournament. Teams will be seeded by conference record, with a tiebreaker system used to seed teams with identical conference records. Seeding for the tournament will be determined at the close of the regular conference season. The top 10 teams will receive a first round bye and the top four teams will receive a double bye.[1] Tiebreaking procedures will remain unchanged from the 2016 Tournament.[2]
