The EuroHockey Championship III 2017 was the 7th edition of the EuroHockey Nations Challenge field hockey championship for men. It was held from the 30th of July until the 5th of August of 2017 in Sveti Ivan Zelina , Croatia .[1] The tournament also allowed for promotion to the EuroHockey Nations Challenge 2019 , with the winner (Belarus ) and runner-up (Italy ) promoting.
Qualified teams
Format
The seven teams were be split into two groups of three and four teams. The top two teams advanced to the semifinals to determine the winner in a knockout system. The bottom team from pool A and the bottom two teams from pool B played in a new group with the teams they did not play against in the group stage. The last team (Slovakia) was relegated to the EuroHockey Nations Challenge IV .
