On 30 September 2022, the Iranian govenment claimed that protestors had tried to storm three police stations in the southeastern city of Zahedan, Iran.[1]

Security forces opened fire on the protestors, and violently cracked down on protestors in Zahedan, leading to street clashes resulting in at least 58 protestors being killed and 270 injured.[2] The day was dubbed "The Bloody Friday" by some sources for this reason.

The clashes were mainly caused by the rape of a 15-year-old Baluch girl in June by Colonel Ebrahim Kouchakzai[3], the commander of the police force in Chabahar, and the recent murder of Mahsa Amini in the custody of the Guidance Patrol.
