Club career

Milton Keynes Dons

Freeman joined the academy of Milton Keynes Dons at the age of eight and progressed through several age groups at the club. During his later academy years, Freeman suffered two long-term injuries, firstly a ruptured knee ligament followed by a broken leg.[3] He returned to action in early 2020 and played briefly on a work experience basis for non-league Wantage Town.[4]

On 4 September 2020 he was given the squad number 30 ahead of the 2020–21 season.[5] The following day, Freeman made his professional first team debut for the club in an EFL Cup first round home tie against Coventry City, being named in the starting eleven in an eventual 0–1 defeat.[6]
