Koto (katakana: ヿ) is a kana ligature, a typographic ligature in the Japanese language that consists of a combination of the katakana graphs of ko (コ) and to (ト), representing their combined sound, コト ([koto]). It is drawn with one stroke. Koto is uncommon and used only in vertical writing.
