American college football season
The 2016 Delaware Fightin' Blue Hens football team represented the University of Delaware in the 2016 NCAA Division I FCS football season. They played their home games at Delaware Stadium in Newark, Delaware. They were members of the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA). They were led by fourth-year head coach Dave Brock for the first six games. He was fired on October 16, following the loss to William & Mary. Co-defensive coordinator Dennis Dottin-Carter was named interim coach.[1] They finished the season 4–7, 2–6 in CAA play to finish in tenth place.
